If you need me – I combined my personal and professional lives here and the pictures are HUGE! Come see me!
Ok, call me a total sheepie follower, but a couple of the photogs who I most admire recently went to a one blog solution – combining the personal and the professional very smoothly – and I think if I do the same thing I will be a better poster. After all, the people who care the most already check both of my blogs (you know who you are
SO…….. check it and bookmark it! limepop photography – the blog….

Thanks so much for following me on this crazy journey! Please make some comments so I know you are there!
Quoting the Grinch there – I am SO very disappointed that I seem to have gotten a lemon of a 5D mark II. Ugh! I got the thing because it is known for shooting at very high ISO’s (like an indoor shoot) without much noise at all – this is handy for things like newborn shoots using available light indoors and shooting at sunset or in very shady areas – but MY new camera was super noisy, and the focus was all screwed up! I am sending it back to Adorama for a new one – at least they were nice about it.
It made me feel better last night to welcome my dad and stepmom home from Nepal – they had a wonderful trip and it sounds like a truly beautiful and fascinating place. I am just glad the Maoist rebels that shut down the roads decided to leave their bus alone (after a thorough check) because they were foreigners – whew! Olivia could not get enough of playing with her PopPop this morning before they left for home – snapped some shots indoors before they left (note the God-awful noise)…

And one nice one by our pretty tree that’s in bloom – note here that though I shot it at f/3.5, and they were almost on the same plane, only my dad is in focus…

Oh well – thanks for your visit (and the cool souvenirs), guys! I will keep you posted on how the new 5D treats me – in the meantime I am snuggling back up with my reliable 40D (and feeling a little guilty for having cheated on it….)
I earned my way there, finally! Yay! And to celebrate (that along with mother’s day and Zach’s birthday – things that have kept me so busy I have completely blown them off in my blog)….here are some SOOC (straight out of camera) shots – I SO love my new baby….
It makes me this happy….

Oh and Z still has not lost that second top tooth – he had a great BDay and party by the way, tacos, he had a baseball game and I gave everyone Popsicles at the end – topped off with his party today at a gym playing basketball, dodgeball, capture the flag, and generally being crazy with his 1st grade peeps….of course I forgot my camera

Or at least on our back porch – it was an incredible hot weekend! Like, 90 degrees! I got sunburned at Alex’s shadeless baseball game Saturday, I was so not ready for this (he got 2 hits, BTW – woo hoo!).
So tonight the kids (including our lovely neighbor/my photography muse) kicked it old school in Olivia’s baby pool – they used Olivia’s pink teepee as a water slide that they set up on a kid table – I have never seen so many kids have so much fun with such a genuinely small volume of water! It was hilarious…

OH – and I know Steve totally “scooped” me on this right after it happened by sending out a mass-mailing on his Blackberry – but for anyone who hasn’t seen – Z lost a front tooth!!!

As our neighbor kids call her….

On the way home with Queen Olivia…. She slept on Steve’s shoulder the whole way….

And to our wonderful travel group Happy Adoption Day, guys!!! What a surreal and wonderful day! Big hugs to all the April 23 G&R Lang Son Girls!!!

The T-shirts don’t lie! Alex had his last concert today – a little “Homework Blues” a little “Hang on Sloopy” and they showed their stuff – go Third Grade Rock Band!

Alex’s BFF (and the best 9 year old guitarist you will ever meet – seriously!)

(all dressed up for the Friends School Gala last weekend… thanks Mel for taking the picture!)
For me to go so long without posting – sorry! I have been in over my head editing co-op photos and finishing another session up – which I am loving (check out the limepop blog www.limepopblog.wordpress.com). And Steve has had an art educators’ convention in town so he has been hanging out with kiln and clay out-of-towners every night – all in all – we are both wiped out! I am editing every spare moment, or else we are wrestling with our increasingly messy and disheveled house. Also the boys started sports, so two nights a week Alex has baseball and Zach has Lacrosse and baseball twice a week, too – then they have music lessons on top of that! Ugh – one of my friends told me that I need a “wife” and that is how I feel! I would like rent a 50′s housewife for like a week to do my laundry, make me some pot roast, vacuum, and hand me a martini as I walk in the door after a long day.
I have 3 more sessions this week so I am trying like crazy to keep up – at least Olivia did well in her first time in “lunch bunch” after preschool last week – I think I am going to sign her up for that every Wednesday for the rest of the year – buying myself just a couple more hours of free time a week may well give me the balance I am missing right now! Enough complaining – I promise I will catch up more, soon! Oh – here is Alex in one of his first “rock band” concerts at school (not my photo – thanks so much to the dad who took all the pics!) – anyway Alex was so great! Tomorrow night we will get to see him play “Hang on Sloopy” – I am so excited!

If you wonder where I have been all week! www.limepopblog.wordpress.com

I have been photographing Olivia’s “mommy and me” group – so fun but OH so exhausting! More one-year olds tomorrow – wish me strength and that my luck with these cuties continues!!!
